As our ministry continues to move slowly ahead, on occasion we recognize that there’s some areas of need. As we fully trust God, we want to ask for you to be specific in praying with us for these things! Continue Reading »

We have been trying to slowly get caught up on projects, and are slowly moving forward. The recent Kenya Trip video is next on my platter. Lorretta has been working on weddings, and the newsletter for church. We recently signed up on Christian Media Forum which seems like a really cool place to exchange some ideas, and it’s free!  check it out!

well, we are at the airport in London, awaiting our flight out. It has been a great week, we have been in a very remote area. We had a few bags that got lost on the flight out. One of them was a tripod case; which held out tripod & monopod, and our microphone… we had everything needed to shoot video though. Continue Reading »

Last night I met a young man maned Alfayo. He was a student from a University in Kisumu, who was teaching math at a local secondary school in Choimim. He spoke incredible good English, and had fabulous ideas concerning recycling and other environmental issues. I would consider Alfayo to be ore of the kind of person now coming out of the universities in Kenya. Extremely bright; and passionate about doing something positive for his country. He was studying Environmental Studies in University, and was very interested in the newly passed legislation in Kenya regarding plastic bags. I had found an article by John Oyuke with the Kenyan Standard before our trip about the bags. Continue Reading »

This evening at our Commissioning service, Pastor Al let 2 of our team members share testimonies of their calling to this trip. It was wonderful to hear how God called these people, and just about everyone has a different story. Continue Reading »

We had also been in the process of planning for a Mission trip to Kenya in 2005 with our church, and originally was going to be working directly with IMB. Praise God, all of our funds have come in for the team, having 3 going for a seeminly short period of time, this is simply comforting, and confirming!

As we start packing, and make final plans, please keep us all in prayer. We will get more details at out last meeting tonight, so keep posted!

Damon is in Kenya right now; but will come back on the 7th, we look forward to talking to him with the latest in Nandi Hills!

Word to da Father!

This past week, we had a little bit of a scare. 5 of our team members had sent out passport apps, and hadn’t received any word or indication that they were close to being processed. One of the passports were our daughter Chelsea’s. Our church had a mission trip to New Orleans last week, and through a little calculated planning, 3 of the passports were picked up using a letter of permission. Praise God for working this out. We appreciate your prayers, and want to pass along a few prayer requests:

Please continue to pray for our team, 2 young men dropped off, and this will create a slight gap as they were to be doing construction mostly.
